The Academies by HSA
The Academies was founded in 2015 with the purpose of offering high school students an opportunity to engage with pre-professional programs in Business, Coding, Government and Pre-Med. During the school year, The Academies offers Virtual Weekend Academies which take place over Saturday and Sunday. In the summer, we offer both Virtual and In-Person Academies, which run Monday through Friday. All programs take place from 12-4pm.
Roles and Responsibilities
As an Instructor for The Academies, you will teach high school students on Zoom during weekends of your choice from 12-4pm. The curriculum is provided in advance, as well as a co-instructor depending on your level of teaching experience and class size. Pay begins at $16/hr and goes all the way up to $26/hr as you teach more hours for The Academies. There are also vast opportunities for performance-based bonuses and merit-based salary increases. In order to apply, you must feel comfortable teaching at least two of the following subject areas: Pre-Med: Human Anatomy and Systems of the Body, Pre-Med: Foundations of Chemistry and Biology, Business: Entrepreneurship, Business: Management, Government: Pre-Law, Government: American Politics, Coding: Introduction to Python, Coding: Introduction to Web Development
